Receiving and Distributing Merchant Goods Across Caravan’s Network of Branches Inside Syria

Executing the reception and structured distribution of imported commercial goods, followed by redistribution to merchants across 18 branches in Syria within a short operational timeframe.

This project represents a practical model of Caravan’s capability to execute a fully integrated internal supply chain within Syria.

The operation began with the reception of a commercial shipment imported from abroad, containing various goods (household equipment, electrical tools, and general supplies). The cargo was received at an approved entry point following the completion of customs clearance procedures.

After reception, Caravan carried out a precise sorting and classification process inside a central warehouse to ensure product integrity, then organized the shipment according to the targeted merchant destinations across Syrian governorates (Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Tartous, Latakia, Daraa, and others).

A distribution plan was executed based on:

  • Scheduling internal trucks with predefined delivery timelines for merchants

  • Assigning each internal shipment a barcode for internal tracking

  • Issuing delivery reports for each branch

  • Direct communication with merchants to ensure accurate delivery timing

The entire operation was completed in only 14 days—from the moment the goods entered the country until they reached the merchants’ hands—reflecting Caravan’s capacity to provide a comprehensive logistical service that begins with reception and ends at the point of sale.
